California Dreamin'
Our first adventure while we were in the Bay area. Santa Cruz! (Posted this just for Lori S.)
So much fun on the board walk and the beach and seafood on the pier!
Great band and Cinco De Mayo party (thought of you Diana R & German- not sure if it was the Cinco part or the party part...) right at the Resort where we are staying!
Did I mention I like going to the ocean?
The also have pretty lakes and ponds..for when you can't go to the ocean (Sheri H agrees with me it's just not the same).
Here's a shot South of Monterey Bay on our way to Hearst Castle.
From our weekend at Avilla Beach (10 minutes North of Pismo).
Avilla Beach, again :)
and back at the pool. I have to work to pay for all this decadent living!
Happy Adventures! BA

California Part Deux
While "down South" we knew we had all summer to travel up the West Coast so KB decided to check out some Work Camper Options. For you uninitiated, (and that's most of my friends! and me 2 years ago) work camping is a kin to bartering. You agree to work at a resort or campground in exchange for your parking or other variations (28 hours week is getting us a spot with a view of El Toro mountain, in a resort, free ice (Janiece W. knows how valuable that is to me!) and $10 in quarters every week).
Kerry found a few that sounded interesting and sent his fancy "work camping resume". Coyote Valley RV Resort responded before the keyboard cooled off from his efforts (http://www.coyotevalleyresort.com/home.html) It's a nice location at the Southern edge of San Jose in Morgan Hill- that's the Mushroom Capitol of the US, people! :D Less than an hour from several beaches and San Francisco!
A 1 mile bike ride from the Coyote Valley Golf Course with a nice patio and view for some cocktails with the girls!
Just behind us are two sections of the Coyote Valley Trails; a 15 mile ride North and a 5 mile South which dumps me just 1/2 mile from Target, Massage Envy, my hair salon and nail place.
A nice rest stop on the trails...
This is the longest we've stayed in one place since we began our journey. It will be 4 months when we leave for Lake Tahoe in July.
I have so much more to catch you up on!
(Yes, I did end that sentence in a preposition, it's a blog not an English paper.)

Sunny California and Great People
or should I say Great People While in Sunny California?
California has been a great ride since we left Mesa, AZ (our winter home @the great View Point RV and Golf Resort http://www.viewpointrv.com/)
Our first stop was to visit Kerry's Uncle Walt and Aunt Babs in Rancho Mirage (near Palm Springs). It was a special 2 weeks visit with them. Kerry played lots of golf, Babs and I went to the Spa La La...
I wasn't too impressed with Palm Springs, dry hot, lots of expensive shops...but I didn't enjoy the window shopping and lunch on the deck at Tommy Bahama's!
We went up and visited Mount San Jacinto State Park. Beautiful, wished we had the time and had known to go earlier in the day and hike in the snow in March!
Kerry played at a course that had all purple sand traps; my kinda course! Also a beautiful setting for a nice Sunday brunch on the porch.
GREAT fun day hike in and around the Zoo- of course the Badger, "he don't care" but he sure posed like he did ;)
